What is it in particular that you like about this book?

One thing I really enjoyed about this book is that most of the projects involve upcycling and finding new creative ways to use everyday objects. There is also a really good introduction that discusses the ways people incorporate craft into their lifestyle decisions and their ethics/political leanings.

Would you say this was a suitable book for novices, or do you need some prior knowledge to really enjoy the projects on offer?

Because all of the projects have come from different contributors the difficulty varies. There are some very quick, easy projects and some which are a bit more challenging, but there are lots of websites listed which helps.

Have you completed any of the projects? If so, how simple were they to follow? Did you encounter any difficulties? Were the instructions clear and intuitive?

I’ve made a couple of the projects, the button fridge magnets were probably the easiest. The tie purses were also simple to follow and probably my favourite to make. The book binding project was really tricky to get the hang of at first but a really good skill to learn, and it has inspired me to learn more about book binding techniques.
