Author: Martha Stewart

Mark out of ten: 9, because it’s nice to flick through

What is it in particular that you like about this book?

The illustrations, lovely photos that are clearly laid out. The variety of projects, from sewing to home-dyeing. Good for inspiring projects

Would you say this was a suitable book for novices, or do you need some prior knowledge to really enjoy the projects on offer?

Yes, because there is such variety. Some need quite specialist equipment but others are more straightforward.

Have you completed any of the projects? If so, how simple were they to follow? Did you encounter any difficulties? Were the instructions clear and intuitive?

No – I just like reading it! I did use the book jacket cover idea but made up my own design. There are lots of other projects I’d like to try some day.

Did this book improve your skill set?

I’m sure it would if I tried some of projects!
