Top Tip Tuesday: Inspiration Folder

I am always keeping magazine cuttings as inspiration for future craft projects, but it can be really hard to keep them organised and find the right one when I need it. Read about a very organised inspiration folder for scrapbook layouts and schemes on I Heart Organizing; you could use the same process for organising any craft inspiration. I would combine my folder with this washi tape label idea.

  1. I also have a design scrapbook where I use squared paper to work out cross stitch and blackwork designs and scribble a few ideas down then add threads, beads and fabric on a sort of rough ‘mood’ board.

Have a look at Compton Verney Art gallery site on Youtube for 2 Christmas decoration ideas, one hanging and one standing – both cheap and simple to make.

There is a textile art sale at Compton Verney on Sat Nov 10th but you have to pay admission fee to the grounds and main exhibition to get to the stalls in the main hall. The folk art at Compton Verney is also inspiring.

  2. You’ve probably seen it on Pinterest a million times or read about it on your favorite DIY or crafting blog, but what is washi tape anyway… and why is everyone so in love with it? Well, be prepared, because your washi tape obsession is about to begin!
