This week was all about crochet. Caroline and I taught two different crochet techniques at our Catney crochet workshop. Caroline demonstrated straight rows and I did granny squares. Everyone had achieved some crochet by the end of the night, a couple of people even managed to try both techniques.
I made a cake which went down well, we needed something to eat after all the hard work of learning and teaching!
For those that attended the workshop and would like some instructions to refer to when practising your new skill, or if you couldn’t come and want to try learning yourself, here are some helpful guides.
- A comprehensive guide from Lion Brand Yarn
- A detailed guide to granny squares, including videos, from Pip Lincolne at Meet Me at Mike’s
- One of my favourite patterns, crochet hexagons from Attic 24 with very clear illustrations
- One of Caroline’s favourite tutorials, for crochet flowers.
