Book Review: Liberty Cross Stitch

Liberty Cross Stitch by Helene Le Berre features designs that combine cross stitch with Liberty prints.

The cross stitch designs are not to my taste and I don’t feel that they really enhance the gorgeous Liberty fabrics. I was not inspired at all by this book, which is very unusual for me. I expected to love this book so I am disappointed that I don’t.

The cross stitch charts are clear and a key is provided for DMC threads. The pattern pieces are all actually size so you can trace the straight from the book.

This book is not suited to a beginner as it requires existing knowledge, there is no techniques section so a beginner would need to consult other sources as well.
