Zoe W let us know about this wonderful historical object, a fashion album compiled between 1746 -1823. This album is the work of Barbara Johnson who lived from 1738-1825, as you can see from her dates and those of the album this was a life’s work.
The album contains information about her own dresses as well as fashion plates depicting the dresses of the day, there are also fabric samples all accompanied by Barbara’s own notes. You can read about it here and see more of the pages here.
