Wednesday night’s meetup was a lovely evening of sewing, crochet, chatting and inspiration. Zoe W whetted our appetites for the scrapbook page workshop she is running in a fortnight by bringing along her scrapbook albums. This gave us an idea of the type of page we might be able to create and what kind of photos we will need to bring along.
Tina starting making an Angry Birds t-shirt appliqué for her lucky daughter – how cool is that! Katharine was making Suffolk Puffs to embellish a creative solution to hiding audiovisual stuff. Zoë S was continuing her hexagon patchwork while Rosie was cross-stitching a sampler for a gift. Lysy was making a crochet hat and Zoe W was also cross-stitching her beautiful family tree. Finally, I was hand-quilting my maple leaf block. We flicked through the latest copy of Mollie Makes as well as some new books recently bought by our members. I really want a copy of Homespun Style by Selina Lake – delicious! We were treated to come yummy homemade biscuits too – Zoë S brought her now-famous oat biscuits while Lysy shared some delish chocolate-chip cookies, made using chocolate she bought during a chance shopping trip whilst getting horribly lost. How lucky (although admittedly less so for Lysy)!
