We have been contacted by the BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Afternoon Radio Show about their forthcoming Knit-a-Thon.
After the storming success of last year’s Knit-a-Thon, The BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Afternoon Show are bringing the event back in aid of the Myton Hospice Nurse Appeal. We are hoping this year’s Knit-a-Thon will be even bigger and better than the last, as we try to break the world record for the amount of people knitting in the same place.
The Knit-a-Thon will take place on April 12th at Coventry Cathedral, 5.45pm.
From pro-knitters to beginners we are welcoming all who are willing to give it a go. There will be help on the day for those who want it, with master-classes and knitting experts on hand.
A pattern will also be provided on the day as we are suggesting people knit a bunting triangle for our jubilee street parties and celebrations, if knitters should wish to follow our pattern we are asking them to bring red, white or blue wool. However, participants are also welcome to knit anything they like.
