Meetup: Sit ‘n’ Sew

The first meetup of 2012 was a lovely relaxed sit ‘n’ sew.

There was a wide variety of projects being undertaken, from cross stitch to patchwork, knitting to felt Christmas decorations (because it’s never too soon to plan ahead!).

There was lots of catching up to do as it was four weeks since our last meeting so there was lots of talking along with the crafting!

It was also chance to hand out some little pressies that arrived too late for our Christmas party. Em, one of our members who moved to Ireland last year, made them for us. You can read all about these matchbook needlecases here, aren’t they cute!

  1. It was the perfect way to ease back into crafting for 2012 and I really want to make so much more this year than I have before! I have even almost finished the deer felt decoration since Wednesday!

Thanks also to Em for the thoughtful and pretty needle cases – such a lovely thought to make them for us and I love mine!
