Zoe W: Recycling Christmas Cards into Tags

When I was little, at the end of the festivities we used to attack Christmas cards with pinking shears and make the gift tags that would adorn our parcels the next year. I’ve got those pinking shears now, but instead of those I used my circular cutting system (by Creative Memories) to recycle my cards this afternoon. You could always draw around different sized drinking glasses (you can see through them) and cut with scissors if you don’t have access to one.

Watch out for writing and printing on the rear of the picture, and select areas to make the best tags. Circles aren’t always the best shape for the picture. Once you’ve cut them all out, punch a hole in them (I used a star shape like this one) and give them a ribbon.

You could also take the opportunity to take note of who sent you a card this year, and make sure they are on your list for next year!
