Top Tip Tuesday: paper-covered jam jar lids

I love decanting my nuts, seeds, dried fruit and sweeties into jam jars to keep my cupboards looking tidy and vintage, but sometimes the jar lids can be far from attractive. This simple tutorial from Design Sponge shows you how to cover your lids with nothing but a few paper scraps and a healthy dollop of PVA glue (or modge podge, if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere you can actually get hold of the stuff…). I used adverts from a magazine for most of my lids, but pretty paper bags – the sort you get at gift shops – are absolutely ideal!
