Top Tip Tuesday: Wool Week

This week, 11th-17th October, is Wool Week. The Campaign for Wool is promoting the use of wool as a sustainable resource for fashion, interiors, and the built environment. Wool is of course very useful for crafts as well and many sew make believe members have recently started to learn knitting and crochet.

In keeping with this I thought I would share this free pattern from Rowan for a lovely Union Jack cushion using their new British Breeds yarn. This yarn is made from the Bluefaced Leicester breed of sheep and uses 100% British wool.

The Rowan website includes many other free patterns to download if you don’t fancy making this cushion.
